The India-Bhutan Foundation was established in August 2003 by the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India with the objective of enhancing exchange and interaction among the peoples of both countries through activities in the areas of educational, cultural, scientific and technical fields. The Foundation has initiated Mountain Echoes, the first ever literature festival to be held in Thimphu annually as a part of their cultural calendar. |
| For a unique literary and cultural experience, the India – Bhutan Foundation presents Mountain Echoes – a literary festival, in association with Siyahi. The Queen Mother, Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk is the Chief Patron of the festival. Mountain Echoes will be held from the 20 – 23 May 2011 in Thimphu, Bhutan. Namita Gokhale is the Program Consultant for the festival. |
